Diana, a female Domestic Short Hair born July 19, 2020, has come a long way since arriving at Monroe SPCA as an emergency case at just four weeks old. She suffered a severe tail injury that led to an intensive healing process, including daily care for maggot infestations and ultimately surgery to remove the gangrenous part of her tail. Diana now rocks a hairless nub where her tail was, but she’s fully healed and in good spirits. She fits best as an indoor companion in a home with a calm or moderately active lifestyle, without young children under six. Diana gets along well with other compatible cats and, with some time to adjust, will do well around polite, cat-friendly dogs. A home visit and meet-and-greet with any resident pets will happen before adoption. Diana is currently at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center in Monroe, MI.
