He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully house trained—he hasn’t had a single accident since coming into foster care. Max is an intelligent, obedient dog who responds well to direction and already knows most basic commands. He enjoys learning and builds a strong connection with people when given a bit of time and space to adjust. Once comfortable, his calm and happy side really comes forward. Max’s story hasn’t been easy. He was abandoned at a shelter and ended up on a euthanasia list, feeling scared and hesitant to interact. Even then, he showed a desire to trust, gently taking treats and only eating when left alone. As soon as he entered foster care, he started opening up, revealing a loyal and affectionate nature. Within days, he relaxed and showed his playful side—he loves going for walks, exploring, riding in the car, and carrying his favorite toys around the house. Max prefers a calm, structured environment where he can feel safe and continue building trust. He is a bit shy at first, but once he bonds, he’s devoted and loving.
