Meet Romeo! He is a muscular, compact 74 pound bundle of love. He loves all people. He was raised by a 10 year old girl and I have pictures of him lounging with a 5 year old girl. His only problem is his interaction with other dogs in the home. During his first meet he resource guarded the family from their existing dog which was a no go. So I took him home and worked with him among the 20 dogs at my farm. The second meeting went well until the adopter gave a treat to the other dog and Romeo vocally chased her away and he came back home. Back at my place he has started playing with one of the other 10 pound dogs and another male puppy, his favorite go to playmates now. If he goes to a multiple dog family, his new parents need to be very dog savvy. I kennel him to eat his meals,,, I have given him yogurt off of my finger before among the other dogs without incident...and he was actually pretty gentle about it. But with people he is a gem! For a 74 pound dog he tugs a little but is easy to redirect if needed on a leash, and loves to take walks. He is potty trained and knows how to use a dog door. He likes to run around and play but curls up in a kennel or your lap to take breaks from the action. He used to stretch up and land on me to get my attention but he is getting better at staying on his feet. He loves to lay his big head on my lap. He has great recall. Over the weeks that I have had him he's gotten super easy to have around. I think he is very trainable. I haven't used treats he is just very eager to please.
