Looking for a full-time shadow with a fluffy coat and zero concept of personal space? Meet Lainey. Lainey is a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix, which basically means she’s equal parts majestic mountain dog and golden-hearted goofball. Translation: she will guard your house from absolutely nothing while simultaneously melting into your lap, although she does not bark while guarding. Lainey is what experts call a Velcro dog—if you move, she moves. If you sit, she sits (on you). If you go to the bathroom...well, congratulations, you now have a very loyal audience. Her hobbies include: Being outside as much as possible (snow? YES. cold? doesn’t care.), staring lovingly into your soul, making new human and dog friends, perfecting the art of “accidentally” leaning her entire body weight against you. She’s currently working on all the important puppy life skills—crate training (sleeps all night in it!), potty training, leash walking, and basic commands. She’s eager to learn, especially if snacks and praise are involved (which they should be, obviously). Lainey is sweet, social, and just wants to be where her people are at all times. She's currently living with a large resident dog and two elementary aged humans and is well-socialized with both. Lainey would love to be in a home with a fence so she can roam, rather than needing to be on a leash when she wants to be outside all the time.
