About Njord

Meet Njord (pronounced "Nyord"), named for the Norse god of the sea, wind, and adventure—an apt name for a young pup who’s always ready for what’s next. Njord is a 7-8 month old Pug/Chihuahua mix who was found roaming a North Houston neighborhood and is now eager for a real home and some well-deserved stability. He’s all puppy: energetic, bold, and curious about everything. He’s clever and quick to pick things up but certainly has a mischievous streak that keeps life interesting. Njord thrives with patient people who set boundaries and know how to laugh off puppy shenanigans. Playing with other dogs is one of his favorite things, so he’d do great in a home with a playful canine buddy. In his foster home, Njord barks at cats but quickly backs down after a stern feline correction—he’s learning fast who’s boss and generally leaves them alone after that. Njord is neutered and fully vaccinated. He’s more than ready to join a family who will lean into his silly, high-spirited personality and help him grow into a fantastic adult dog. If you want a lovable, slightly naughty sidekick who always keeps things lively, Njord is ready to meet you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
