Skye’s story began on the unforgiving streets of Harris County, Texas. Back in February, this brave young mama was picked up by animal control—struggling to survive while caring for the puppies she had given birth too. A high‑kill shelter is no place for a mother and her newborns. While her babies were fortunate enough to find placement, Skye was left behind… and soon found herself placed on the kill list. Just when her story seemed like it might end, fate stepped in. During a visit to the shelter, we saw Skye—and we knew we couldn’t leave her behind. This sweet girl had already done everything right: she protected her babies, endured the streets, and quietly waited for help. We stepped up to give her the second chance she so deeply deserved. Skye may be a little shy at first, but her true nature shines through. She loves gentle pets and has a soft, loving temperament that melts your heart. Still so young at approximately 2 years old, she has already been through more than any dog should. Skye is heartworm negative, fully vetted, chipped, and ready for her next chapter. After giving everything she had to her puppies, this beautiful mama would love nothing more than a home of her very own—a place where she can finally feel safe, loved, and treasured.
