About Marcella “marcy”
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Marcella, affectionately known as Marcy, is a 3-year-old female Havanese whose name means "Little Warrior." She has come so far after a difficult beginning as a retired breeder and is now showing her playful and affectionate personality. When Marcy first arrived in her foster home, simple things like eating from a bowl or coming indoors were new and overwhelming to her. With patience and gentle care, she's learned to trust and now eagerly runs to her food bowl and enjoys car rides and walks—especially when the routine helps her feel safe. Marcy is doing well with her potty training, though her new family should continue to guide her gently. This petite sweetheart needs a calm, quiet environment where she can blossom at her own pace. Sudden movements or loud noises make her nervous, so a home without young children is best. Marcy gets along beautifully with other calm dogs and cats, often choosing to cuddle with her canine companions. While she’s not a fan of being picked up at first, given time and understanding, she will warm up and eventually reward you with trust—and those special moments when she greets you with tail wags will be unforgettable. Her forever family should be willing to go slow and patiently build her confidence, knowing that it may take several months for her to truly feel safe. Marcy’s foster mom is happy to share tips on helping her adjust and thrive in her new home. Once she trusts you, Marcy’s love is incredibly rewarding. Start your journey together! Apply now.
