Elowin is a medium- to long-haired teenage kitten, estimated to have been born in late November. She was found with her three siblings, homeless and suffering from hypothermia during sub-zero temperatures. In search of warmth and safety, the kittens huddled at a stranger's front door. Thankfully, the homeowner quickly brought them inside and got them to safety. As expected, all of the kittens were initially very scared and shy, having had little to no human interaction. Elowin, in particular, was especially timid and needed extra time to feel secure. With patience and care, she has made wonderful progress. She now enjoys gentle pets and will reward you with strong, content purrs--she simply needs a little time to settle into a new environment. Elowin is playful and gets along well with other cats and kittens in her foster home. However, she can be intimidated by more dominant female cats, so she may do best with a male feline companion. She also does well with friendly, respectful dogs. Elowin is spayed, up to date on her kitten vaccinations, and has received her first rabies vaccine. She is currently being fostered in Anchorage.
