About Kobuk

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Kobuk is a long-haired, neutered male teen kitten whose journey began in the abandoned corners of a house without warmth, water, or regular meals. Rescued in early January by a kind-hearted stranger, Kobuk entered the care of ACAT with a wary heart, having endured some of the toughest beginnings imaginable. Being new to human companionship, Kobuk is understandably shy, but with patience, he’s begun to blossom in his foster home. Gentle pets are now welcome, and the rewarding sight of Kobuk raising his tail or nudging his back into a friendly hand shows he’s learning trust. After arrival, his matted fur was carefully brushed out – a routine he now enjoys, especially along his back and sides. Kobuk is slowly discovering the joys of play with other cats and kittens around him and is even growing comfortable with the foster home's large, friendly dogs. This sweet, sensitive boy needs a home with someone who has experience with shy cats and can offer him time to grow confident. In return, Kobuk will reward your patience with loyalty and affection. Plus, as a Libra (born October 22), Kobuk may surprise you with his love of balance and harmony! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
