Meet MILES, an adorable little dog with a really bad haircut. Seriously, how can he look so cute with such a horrible DIY grooming job?? Miles is a tiny 9 pound 3-4 year old mixed breed boy looking for a home. Siri says he looks like a a Maltipoo (Maltese/Poodle)/Havanese mix. Honestly, we have no clue on breed, he's just adorable and sweet and loving. He's a little timid in new situations and when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and LOVES treats. Big dogs frighten little Miles. So far he hasn't shown a lot of interest in other dogs, he's a big fan of people and cuddles. Miles is a well behaved little guy who walks well on a leash and has an adorable happy little trot. Miles' beautiful, soft red and white coat will require regular PROFESSIONAL grooming to keep him looking and feeling fabulous. His adopter must be prepared for that expense. Grooming isn't merely a cosmetic issue with long-haired dogs, it is a health issue. Matted hair is painful for dogs, becomes unsanitary and can cause serious infections. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
