Checkers was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. He was lucky enough to spend time in a foster home, and his foster mama reports that this distinguished gentleman is a TOTAL LAP CAT. Yep, your lap is his favorite place to be, and he wouldn't have it any other way! This big lovable boy is known for being calm when the situation calls for it and playful when he has a human friend ready to play with him. He adores cat trees, and when there is not an available lap to sit on, you'll likely find him perched atop a cat tree or lounging on one of its shelves. He also happily entertains himself by watching birds and squirrels outside the window, so a comfy cat bed or a cat tree near a window would please him greatly.
