About Obi
MEET OBI Here's a pretty boy who doesn't know (yet) just how pretty he is. That, of course, is part of his charm--there's not a pretentious bone in his body! Obi (racing name Getso's Osteg) is a smallish 66-pound boy who is 2 1/2 years old. He raced only 5 times but showed little aptitude for it, so the decision was made to retire him. But as a companion, he is showing great promise. As with any young dog, there can be spurts of energy and playfulness. Obi is getting the hang of things in a home, though. While he can be peppy, he also can be cool and collected. Obi is not very fond of typical neighborhood noises such as kids whizzing past on bikes, those annoying leaf blowers, or passing cars. He is also not fond of being left alone without a human or canine companion. But he recently went on a walk with lots of other Greyhounds and enjoyed it tremendously. Obi's adoption wish list includes another dog in the home (preferably another Greyhound); a fenced yard so he can frisk around whenever he wants; no cats or small dogs (the temptation to chase is too great); and someone to take the time to teach him how to walk nicely on lead. Obi gives sweet little kisses, rides beautifully in the car, and is ready to blossom in the right home!
