About Bear
Meet Bear — your future puppy-sized weighted blanket! 6-month-old Husky/Pittie mix Bear is a happy, snuggly, playful pup looking for his forever home. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, with booster shots still to come. Bear is the kind of dog who just wants to be where you are. If the Gilmore Girls theme song were a dog, it would be Bear — where you lead, he will follow. Whether you’re making a Home Depot run, working from home, heading into the office, or relaxing on the couch, Bear is happiest by your side. He’s a lap dog in a pittie body and loves kisses, pets, cuddles, and quality time. As a bonus, he also doubles as a white noise machine thanks to his adorable puppy snores. About Bear: • Loves meeting new people • Potty trained • Good with other dogs • Good with cats • Has had minor interactions with kids and has done well • Treat- and food-motivated • Knows basic commands like sit, down, and shake Bear loves a good game of fetch — or at least the part where he gets the zoomies with a ball in his mouth. He is cat-curious and may sniff or try to play, but he learns quickly when to give them space. Since he’s still a puppy and comes from high-energy breeds, he’ll do best with regular exercise and outlets for his energy. He is very food motivated and eager to learn. He’s already picking up new skills like “stay” and “spin” and would likely thrive with continued training. Bear is still learning his manners and may need occasional correction, but he listens well and wants to please. Bear is also working through some separation anxiety and learning that it’s okay to be by himself for short periods. Because of that, he may do best in a home with a work-from-home person, a family member around often, or another dog companion to help him feel secure. Bear is a lovable, affectionate, goofy boy with so much love to give. He’d make an amazing companion for someone ready for a cuddly best friend with a playful puppy spirit. Bear is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. $400 Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, $300 fee for Transport and vet/documentation requirements in preparation for transport.
