About Totally Terrific Tate! Part

Meet Totally Terrific Tate! If you love that classic scruffy-dog charm—think a little Tramp from Lady and the Tramp mixed with Benji’s sweet, loyal heart—Tate will feel instantly familiar. With his scruffy “Tramp meets Benji” charm and those adorable mismatched ears, Tate is the kind of puppy people fall for instantly… and then somehow love even more once they meet him. At just 3 months old, this schnauzer/terrier mix is expected to grow into a perfect medium-sized companion (around 35–40 lbs). His mom is a schnauzer/terrier mix, and while dad remains a mystery, we’re pretty sure he contributed those extra-helpings of charm. His Personality (the real magic) Tate is what we lovingly call a gentle old soul in a puppy body. Calm, easygoing, and incredibly affectionate Loves to be carried—he’ll happily melt right into your arms Sweet, trusting, and quietly devoted Playful and social, but not over-the-top He’s one of those rare puppies who doesn’t just like people… he truly connects with them. He also has a signature move—gentle little “toe boops” when he wants your attention. No chaos, no chomping… just a soft, sweet “hey you… I think you’re my person.” Smart & Off to a Great Start Tate is already showing what a good boy he’s going to be: Doing great with potty training Learning house & leash manners beautifully Gets along wonderfully with other dogs Great with kids—friendly, playful, and gentle His Perfect Home Tate is wonderfully adaptable and would thrive in many types of homes, but he’d especially love: A family or person who enjoys affection and connection A home where he can be part of daily life (he’s a little shadow in the making) Another friendly dog (a bonus, not a requirement!) He’s not a high-maintenance puppy—just one who wants to love and be loved. The Bottom Line Tate is the kind of puppy people hope for but don’t always find— sweet without being shy, playful without being overwhelming, and loving in that quiet, genuine way that just feels easy. Scruffy. Sweet. Slightly obsessed with your toes (in the cutest way possible). Tate is giving major “Tramp meets Benji” energy and is ready for his forever home & he's ready to meet you. The Important Details Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations Microchipped Spay/Neuter Policy: To support healthy growth and development, our rescue does not perform early spay/neuter on young puppies. Tate’s neuter is required between 6–12 months of age and a $100 rebate will be provided when done with your veterinarian. Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will be updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport. We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport! This dog is currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX.
