Meet Cory! Cory came from a cruelty and neglect case in Juneau County where he was found with several other animals. Before rescue, he spent his days as an "outside" dog tied up on a short chain with very little comfort or love. Like the other dogs rescued in this case, Cory was positive for heartworm when he arrived. Now that he has completed treatment, he is looking for his forever home. Cory has shown an incredible amount of resilience. Cory has never met a stranger and loves meeting new people. He is very food motivated and loves training. He has worked hard on following commands. His favorites being 'sit' and 'lay'. He is still working on 'shake.' He walks well on a leash with a harness with minimal pulling. Cory enjoys spending time outside and stopping to smell the roses. His favorite toys are ones that he has to work to get a treat out of. He has done well with kids and other dogs. He is loving and affectionate. He is currently on medication for separation anxiety which he enjoys rolled up in cheese. Cory is eagerly awaiting the start of his next chapter. He hopes to be the king of your heart. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
