Meet Otto! Otto is a 22-lb young adult Chihuahua/terrier mix (breed guessed based on features) with a thoughtful personality and a quietly charming presence. He may look a little serious at first—his expressive eyes tend to give him a permanent “concerned gentleman” look—but he’s actually very sweet and settling nicely into foster life. Otto came into our program after his elderly owner experienced a medical emergency and is unfortunately unable to return home to him. It’s clear he was loved and cared for, and he’s now looking for a new person to share his quiet companionship with. Otto prefers to take introductions at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, his gentle and affectionate nature really shines. He enjoys being near his people and is happiest when he can quietly observe what’s going on around him without needing to be the center of attention. He has done well overnight in his crate and is adjusting beautifully to a home routine. Otto gets along well with other dogs, avoids cats rather than engaging with them, and does well with children who are respectful and willing to let him warm up gradually. He can be a little vocal when he has something to say, which just adds to his personality and charm. Otto is fully vetted and ready to head home with his forever family.
