These days, Skipper is very friendly and loves nothing more than a really good butt scratch. In fact, he'll twist and spin around like a little sidewinder trying to make sure you find exactly the right spot. It's one of his funniest and most endearing quirks, and it perfectly captures the joyful personality that's beginning to shine through. He's become wonderfully patient about being picked up and now seeks out attention and affection, making up for all the love he missed before. Skipper loves running around, exploring, and enjoying every bit of his new life. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
