About Patty Melt
Patty Melt A183369 113 lb. neutered male, approx 8 years old **Senior alert!** -This 113-pound gentle giant has major Eeyore energy--a big, soft soul just quietly taking in the world around him. He may look imposing at first, but don't be fooled... underneath all that size is a mellow, easygoing boy who's simply happy to exist by your side. -He's strong and enthusiastic heading out (he's got places to be, after all!), but once outside, he settles into a much calmer pace and prefers to meander, sniff, and explore at his own speed. He's not in a rush--he's more of a "stop and smell everything" kind of guy. -Inside, his vibe is wonderfully low-key. He's not demanding or high-energy--he's just... there. A steady, comforting presence who's content to wander around, check things out, and occasionally lean in for some love. When he wants attention, he'll gently nudge or rub into you, soaking up pets in the sweetest way. -He enjoys snacks (who doesn't?) and will sit from time to time, taking treats gently. But overall, he's not overly motivated by anything except just being a big, squishy companion. -And speaking of squishy--his giant, droopy jowls and soft, hefty body are basically impossible to resist. Yes, he's a bit of a drooler, but that just adds to his charm. If you're looking for a calm, lovable, slightly goofy best friend with a whole lot of heart (and a whole lot of dog), this boy might be your perfect match. -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** *The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
