BECAUSE BLACK DOGS ARE THE BEST DOGS and Lolli cannot WAIT to prove it to you. OK we are going to start right out by saying we have NO idea, if she has a stitch of Kelpie or Corgi in her. But if we imagined what a Kelgi/Corpie would look and act like, Lolli is the poster child. She is quite a bit longer than she is tall, with a tail like a rudder, a keen mind, a fun spirit and an incredibly huge heart. She is the perfect size, at 20lbs, to load into any size car or truck and has the substance and stamina for all day hiking or beach combing or flea marketing but is just as happy, sitting with you on the couch for all day Netflix binge watching and snack eating. She is a delightful mix of sweet and sassy, fun and friendly, adventure loving and lazy couch potato, with an incredibly happy outlook on life. In her foster home, Lolli lives with a wide variety of dogs, big and small, boys and girls, young and old and wants all of them to be her friend. Her favorite game is chase, with her doing the chasing, so the herding dog instincts are strong. If you want to pair her up with an existing dog in the house, we recommend it be happy about being pestered to play, be able to take her sassy style and be confident enough to say stop and mean it. There are also several cats in her foster home, which she leaves alone in the house, and outside when accompanied by her foster but does find it hard not to chase, if one decides to dart across the yard. Cats in the home should be dog savvy and able to hold their own. We have not had her around children but suspect she would find kids who want to play and snuggle with her, the best friends ever. Lolli is crate trained, housebroken, good on a leash though loves to scout ahead, if permitted. At the vet office, she would love to greet every person coming in the door, AND their pets, if allowed but if restrained, will play bouncer instead. That's the sweet and sassy, doing it's thing. Though she is new to car travel, is doing great and at and loves her "shotgun, ride-or-die" training. There is just so much to love about this sweet, silly, affectionate, game little girl and at three years old, she has many many years of fun and adventure in her, to share with her person or people.
