Merlin is a typical silly and very handsome orange kitten: chatty, goofy, playful and cuddly. He's also completely blind. BUT he doesn't know that so don't break the news to him! Since he lost his eyesight so young, he has adapted very very well. His current foster home has cared for and placed numerous blind cats, and they have one permanent blind resident as well. Blind cats are amazing, require no special care and will impress you every single day with their resourcefulness and adaptability. In Savannah GA, Merlin was taken into foster care from animal control in late November. He weighed one whole pound! He had eyelid agenesis (born without eyelids) which led to inflammation and corneal damage. This resulted in him needing both eyes removed as the eyes were painful. He was also cryptorchid (had retained testicles), so he likely doesn't get to spend much time with the infamous single orange cat brain cell due to his inbred genetics. We wouldn't have it any other way. Merlin came to MA in mid March and is absolutely thriving as a foster with other kittens. He is so ready for a forever home where he can run and play and cuddle with his new family! He is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered and Felv/FIV negative.
