About Possum
Possum arrived as a "project" cat for her foster mom because she is naturally more timid compared to our usual kittens. She was initially fostered with some older, more established animals, and it took her nearly a week to fully adjust to her new foster home and the introduction to her new kitten foster companions. While Possum is undeniably curious, she also possesses a reserved nature, often choosing to observe the lively happenings from a safe vantage point, such as a high shelf, before fully engaging. She genuinely desires to play with the other foster kittens, but she currently experiences some hesitation about how to approach them without feeling overwhelmed. Possum would greatly benefit from dedicated, one-on-one playtime sessions and is currently making strides in forming a friendship with Edna. She has a particular fondness for the wand toy, and her intense focus during playtime sometimes leads to an unintentional gathering of foster mates, as she is so absorbed, she is often unaware that others have been drawn to the enticing feather toy. Although she is still considered a work in progress, we are optimistic that her inherent curiosity will pave the way for her to thrive exceptionally well in a more tranquil and less stimulating home environment. Possum is spayed, microchipped, negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, and has received general deworming medications for intestinal parasites and fleas.
