Meet Cooper (formerly Walter)! He was adopted but, through no fault of his own, is being returned. He is 9 months old. Cooper LOVES LOVE. He is the sweetest, most gentle puppy. He is a people dog and will choose to be around his owner more than anything. He loves other animals and has puppy play dates often. He does not lunge at birds or bunnies while walking, but he is curious. He is still learning to not fear motorcycles or people who ride past on fast bikes. He thinks he is small enough to be a lap dog and will curl up with you any chance he gets. He will also follow his owner around until he/she sits down. Coop-a-loop loves long walks. He is crate trained and likes to retreat to his crate to relax. He has basic obedience. Commands include sit, down, OFF (which means stop or get down), Free (which is his release command), and he can fetch a toy if there is a treat involved. He will chew on things like children's toys unless told OFF, but has never destroyed shoes or furniture. We have used a spray bottle to train him and it is very effective.
