Meet Willard 🐾 Willard is an 11-month-old Great Dane mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love—once you’ve earned his trust. This sweet boy is on the shy side and takes time to warm up to new people and environments, but with patience and kindness, his true personality begins to peak through. Once he feels safe, Willard becomes an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. He enjoys quiet moments, soft pets, and knowing his person is close. You’ll often find him leaning in for comfort and looking to you for reassurance. Willard is still a young pup and learning about the world, so he’ll need a calm, understanding home that can help build his confidence at his own pace. A consistent routine and gentle guidance will go a long way in helping him feel secure. Because of his sensitive nature, he may do best in a quieter household where he can truly relax and blossom. Watching Willard come out of his shell has been incredibly rewarding. We are making steps forward with him everyday! If you have a patient heart and are ready to give Willard the time he needs to trust, you’ll gain a deeply devoted best friend for life. 💙 Willard is doing great with potty training, does well in his crate, and has been wonderful with other dogs; he tends to just back down, he is not dominant. He has also done well with our kids we have around!
