About Morris
Hi – this is Morris, named after the famous Alcatraz escape artist. Unlike his namesake, Morris isn’t going anywhere—he’s found exactly what he wants: people. At 2 years old, this solid black Lab (roughly 95 lbs.) is still learning the ropes of house life and is pretty taken with his new routine. Morris thrives on human company. He’ll stick close, always bringing a favorite toy wherever he goes—especially to the couch. He’s sharp and knows several commands already, picking up new skills quickly. He’s also incredibly strong, with loyalty matched only by his size. Out in the yard, he’ll show off his love for running, playing, and the sheer novelty of freedom. Morris has good car manners and takes food gently, preferring to graze throughout the day. Quirky? Absolutely. He selectively countersurfs, supervises meal prep with his impressive height, and thinks dog beds are possibly chew toys. Morris is a devoted chewer, but he’s figuring out what’s his and what isn’t. After a confusing visit to doggy daycare, he would do best as the only dog so he can settle in and shine. He gets along well with children, enjoys snuggling, and even makes a quiet purring sound when happy. This happy, affectionate, goofy guy is eager to learn and just wants a home that will keep guiding him. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
