Pepper is an approximately 8-year-old sweetheart weighing about 24 pounds. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, housebroken, and crate trained—truly a well-mannered little lady. Pepper is the definition of a gentle soul. She may be shy when you first meet her, but once she feels safe, her loving personality begins to shine. In her foster home, she initially found comfort relaxing in her crate with the door open, but before long, she started venturing out and now happily spends most of her time near her foster mom. While Pepper is crate trained, she has done fine left out in the house while foster mom is at work. This sweet girl absolutely adores quiet cuddle time. One of her favorite things is curling up on the couch next to her person, soaking up all the love she can get. And when she’s feeling playful, Pepper will surprise you with the cutest little zoomies in the yard! Pepper gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and has a very submissive, easygoing nature. She hasn’t quite joined in the fun with them yet, but as her confidence grows, we think she’ll continue to come out of her shell. While there are no children or cats in her foster home, Pepper has shown no signs of aggression and would probably be just fine with them. She would do best in a patient, loving home that will give her the time she needs to feel comfortable and secure. In return, she will reward her new family with the sweetest companionship and quiet devotion. Whoever adopts Pepper will be truly lucky—she is a special little girl with so much love to give
