About Cami

Cami has spent the last year in rescue in Oklahoma and now needs a quiet, patient home. She’s a medium-sized, short-haired Terrier/Lab mix weighing around 30-35 lbs as of her first birthday in late January. Cami’s nature is sweet but extremely shy—she’s retreated even more since her sister’s departure, and thrives in the company of other dogs. With a playful canine companion by her side, her confidence comes out. Cami isn’t housebroken yet but does keep her crate clean overnight. She needs work on the leash and will require a fenced yard, especially early on, as she’s a flight risk until trust builds. Her best environment is tranquil, with adults or teens over 14, and at least one friendly dog. She’s already spayed and fully vaccinated, with all health checks current and included in her adoption fee. Reliable pickup at a listed transport location is required. She’s waiting for someone willing to put in the time and heart to help her come out of her shell. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Cami

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Terrier/Labrador mixes like Cami tend to do well in homes that offer a stable, predictable routine and plenty of positive interaction. She would thrive in a quiet household, ideally with another friendly dog and adults or older teens who understand her shy, gentle temperament.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

As a Terrier/Labrador mix, Cami needs regular outdoor time and would benefit from a secure yard. She needs enough space to safely explore, especially given her shyness and tendency to bolt if frightened.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Cami’s breed mix can do well with children, but due to Cami’s specific needs and timid nature, a home with children over 14 is best. She prefers a calm environment where she won’t be overwhelmed.
