Meet Victoria! After a few weeks of being in foster with 6 other dogs...Victoria is thriving! While she was once leash/harness nipping, she's now super excited for walks and all that goes with them. Victoria is still unsure of car rides, but is warming up to them. It is better if she is secured in the back seat to feel safe. Victoria will bark at you...but then wants love. Because of her past, she is afraid first, but then realizes she's safe and comes over for pets and love. Victoria would do best in a home with a confident, adult dog who likes to play and who knows how to “dog,” but could live in a home where people are home more often than not. Victoria is not destructive. She will, however, use those long legs to steal food that is left unattended. Victoria LOVES to sleep in bed and snuggle nearby while chewing her bone/chew. It helps her relax before sleeping for the night. Victoria is more of a leash walk dog than an open-the-door-run-in-the-yard type of dog. She hates mud, rain and snow unless out for a walk with her person, so she would love hiking or running with her person. As of now, she's going on three to four walks per day, but she wishes they were longer! Overall, Victoria will be a wonderful addition to a family with older children (over 11 or 12) and adults who are patient and loving, who are willing to allow her to build trust.
