While she thrives in the presence of other friendly dogs, gentle kids would be a welcome addition to her new home. Currently based in Redmond, WA, she has come a long way and is ready for her forever family.

Maybelle is available for adoption in the PNW! Recently arriving in Seattle, she’s settling into a loving foster home and is ready for meet and greets. This sweet girl has overcome a tough past, having recovered from severe neglect and completed all necessary veterinary care. At about 18 months old and weighing between 25-30 pounds, she’s a medium-sized mixed breed dog with a lot of love to give. Although crate trained, she thrives on companionship and prefers to be with her family rather than confined. Maybelle would benefit greatly from having another friendly dog in her new home, as they bring her joy and comfort. She is initially timid but warms up quickly, especially to women. Patience and understanding from male family members will go a long way in earning her trust. Gentle kids will also be welcomed, though she is not currently in a foster home with them. Her foster mother has been using clicker training, resulting in noticeable progress—Maybelle is now leash trained, house trained, and has some basic obedience skills. She’s incredibly affectionate, enjoys forming bonds, and is eager for companionship. Maybelle is truly a special girl, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!
