Boone is a playful, goofy, and incredibly gentle soul with so much love to give. One look into his eyes and you can feel just how big his heart is. He's the perfect mix of fun and affection—happy to entertain himself with his toys, but always excited when you (or another pup) join in. And yes... he loves his toys! Boone is very affectionate and thrives on connection. He gives sweet kisses, the best hugs, and fully believes he's a lap dog—don't be surprised if he tries to climb right into your arms to snuggle. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Boone enjoys playing with his foster siblings but is also respectful when they need space. He has a submissive and easygoing nature, making him a great fit for a home with another playful dog companion. Boone has a medium-to-high energy level and would do best in an active home. He loves being outside, going on walks, and would make an amazing adventure buddy. That said, he's just as happy to wind down at the end of the day with some cuddle time. He's doing great with crate training—he sleeps through the night and settles in comfortably. Boone is also learning leash skills and is improving every day. He rides beautifully in the car and enjoys being part of the action. Since Boone spent much of his early life in a shelter, he's still learning basic manners and commands. He's a smart boy and eager to please, so with a little consistency and patience, he'll pick things up quickly. Like many young dogs, he may need some continued guidance (he's been known to try a little counter surfing!). Boone is still gaining confidence in new situations. Loud noises can make him a bit nervous, and he's learning things like stairs at his own pace. When unsure, he may retreat until he feels safe—but with reassurance, he continues to grow more confident every day. Boone's ideal home would be an active one, preferably with a fenced yard where he can run and play. Most importantly, he's looking for a loving family who will continue to help him learn, grow, and feel safe. Boone is truly something special. Not only is he beautiful on the outside, but his sweet, loving spirit makes him unforgettable. He's ready to start his next chapter and live his very best life here in Colorado—with you.
