Meet Gretchen—a stunning 11-year-old German Shepherd with a graceful presence and a heart full of quiet love. Gretchen came to us from a shelter in Moore, Oklahoma, after her owner transitioned into a nursing home. While we don’t know all the details of her past, what we do know is that she’s a gentle, loyal companion who’s ready to find her next chapter with someone special. This beautiful girl is sweet, affectionate, and enjoys being close to her people. She was previously trained to stay off furniture, so her version of cuddling is a little more refined—think sitting beside you for head scratches, ear rubs, and those oh-so-satisfying booty scratches. If you’re limber, she may even accept some floor-level snuggles. Gretchen does have her boundaries (as any classy lady does 💁‍♀️)—she prefers not to have her belly touched.
