About Crinny
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Crinny's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Crinny, a 6-month-old Hound mix, weighing 21 pounds (as of 3/27/26). Crinny was previously a stray in Tennessee before finding his way to us. He's excited to pursue his dream of being a New England house dog! We asked Crinny's best friends what they think of him and they described him as the biggest Care Bear because he's "sweet, social, playful, and sometimes playfully mouthy. (He just gets so excited with his toys!)" Crinny's a pup with a lot of love to give and he can't wait to shower you with kisses. He currently attends gentle and dainty playgroups where he and other dogs discuss literature while sipping tea and eating crumpets. What a classy pooch! He's a sweetheart that's friendly to strangers and other dogs. Even if the other dogs aren't friendly to him, he shrugs it off. Not everyone can be as classy as Crinny! He hasn't had experience with cats or kids yet, but there's still time for an introduction! Maybe they'd also love a cup of tea and a plate of scones? Crinny currently sleeps in a crate at night but may whine a little in the beginning before settling in. He just wants to make sure he's not missing out on anything! If you close a door to a room he can't get into, he'll let you know that he wants to see what you're doing. He's a curious boy who wants to soak in the world around him. That may or may not involve chasing a bird or squirrel but he's not trying to hurt them, he just wants to play! Crinny has experience on a leash but tends to get excited and will occasionally bite the leash before calming down. He also knows how to "sit" and "fetch" his toys so he's looking forward to learning more commands so he can brag about how much he's learning at his playgroup. While Crinny knows how to use a doggy door, he still asks for your patience with potty training as he gets used to your home. For your help, he'll make you all the tea sandwiches you can eat so you can be dainty too! Crinny can't wait to class up your life! Bring him home today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
