Fern is a 3-year-old, 40-pound Boxer mix with a heart as soft as her stunning brindle coat. She is truly the ultimate snuggle buddy, happiest when she is curled up on the couch or bed with you. Fern has mastered the art of being a lady: she knows how to sit, is housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, knows how to sit quietly for her food, and is crate-trained. She is also an eager co-pilot for car rides! After a recent return to the shelter, Fern is looking for her final, forever home. While she is currently sharing her foster home with three female dogs, Fern can be picky about her canine friends and has a bit too much enthusiasm for cats. To set her up for success, we are looking for a home where Fern can be the only fur-child. She is, however, incredibly gentle with small children, babies and seniors! Fern is a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys the simple pleasures in life—regular walks, lots of love, and a warm, safe home.
