Fern is a three-year-old Boxer mix with a striking brindle and white coat. At about 40 pounds, she’s a champion snuggle buddy, most content curled up beside you on the couch or in bed. Fern knows how to act like a lady—she’s housebroken, sits on command, walks well on leash, enjoys car rides, and waits quietly for her food. She’s also crate-trained and does best crated when left alone since she sometimes plays a bit rough with pillows. Fern came back to the rescue after an adoption didn’t work out, so she’s hoping this time she finds her forever home. While she’s tolerant of sharing space with other dogs, she’s choosy with canine companions and too energetic with cats, so settling her as an only pet is the safest bet. She does, however, get along beautifully with small children, babies, and seniors. Fern thrives on simple joys—walks, affection, and feeling secure.
