About Fern

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Fern is a 3-year-old, medium-sized Boxer mix, weighing around 40 pounds, with a heart as soft as her striking brindle and white coat. She is the ultimate snuggle buddy, happiest when curled up next to you on the couch or bed. Fern is a well-mannered lady: she knows how to sit, is housebroken, loves walks on a leash, and is crate-trained. She patiently waits for her food and makes an enthusiastic car ride companion! After a recent return to the shelter, Fern is eagerly searching for her final, forever home. She currently lives with three female dogs in her foster home, but can be selective with canine friends, and has a bit too much excitement for cats. To make sure she thrives, Fern needs to be the only pet in her home. However, she is very gentle with small children, babies, and seniors! This sweet, affectionate girl enjoys life’s simple pleasures—regular walks, lots of love, and a safe, cozy home. Because pillows can sometimes become her playthings, Fern should be crated when left alone. If you are searching for a loyal and charming companion, Fern is ready to meet you. This could be the start of something paw-some.
