Daisy is the sweetest, gentlest little lovebug you'll ever meet! Her favorite thing in the world is simple-being close to her people. She doesn't understand the concept of personal space - if you're sitting on the couch, she'll happily be right next to you, soaking up all the snuggles you're willing to give. She's a quiet, gentle presence who just wants to feel safe and loved. She's still adjusting to life in Minnesota and learning that new things aren't so scary. Big open spaces, stairs, and especially being on a leash can make her nervous. That said, she's already made great progress-she can now walk on hardwood floors and go up and down stairs on her own with a little encouragement. And she's even started occasionally playing with toys and having zoomies in the backyard! She'll need continued patience and support with leash training, as that's still a big hurdle for her. Because of her comfort level, Daisy will need a home with a fenced-in yard where she can go out without the stress of a leash. She's potty trained as long as she has that setup. Her adopter should also be comfortable bending down and lifting a 45 pound dog as sometimes she gets too nervous and needs help getting from point a to point b. Daisy does well with other dogs and would do well with a calm doggy sibling to help show her the ropes and give her confidence. She has not lived with cats but would likely be fine with them. She'd also be fine with kids, but she does need a calm, low-key home without a lot of noise or chaos. She sleeps soundly in her crate through the night, although she would love to go to a forever home where she gets to snuggle up in bed with her humans. When her foster mom goes to work she is left out to free roam and she does just fine-no troublemaking here. Daisy is so very loving and needs a human who is happy to snuggle 24/7.
