About Doug
Doug is settling into his new chapter—one with comfort, care, and plenty of lounging. He arrived at Argos Rescue in rough shape after facing serious neglect, and he’s been working hard to rebuild. Doug is a Great Dane with a distinctively chocolate-brown coat and a gentle demeanor, though right now he’s still underweight and dealing with heartworms. He just got neutered, is on heartworm treatment, and has even had a full cardiac workup. This guy is goofy, earnest, and almost regal in his own way. Doug loves a soft sofa, solid meals, and a family that appreciates his quirky charm. If you've got a soft spot for big dogs who need a break, Doug is waiting in Albuquerque and ready for the next, better part of his journey. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
