Dexter von Dechow is a beautiful 9 month old sable German Shepherd mix. He will be smaller for a German Shepherd when fully grown, and has a shorter, easy-care sable coat. Dexter was found living in a cemetery. We don’t know if someone had died and he was a faithful pet or just a quiet place to retreat. He is a volunteer and staff favorite at the rescue, everyone wants to hang out with him, he is so well behaved. Walking him is a dream, no pulling or reacting to other dogs, he is just the best. A polite boy, he knows his "sit" command and is very gentle when receiving treats. As he gets more comfortable we are starting to get glimpses of his silly side as well. Dexter says no to cats, but does fine around other dogs, with a preference for other gentle ones. In a playgroup he followed a sweet female around with his tail wagging, so he would enjoy another nice pup in the home. Dexter will make a wonderful addition to many homes.
