About Maisie
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Maisie is a stunning tortoiseshell beauty with a personality as unique as the variations in her coat. Having once bravely fended for herself outdoors, she is now discovering that indoor life is filled with safety, comfort, and affection. Following her rescue, Maisie was checked by a veterinarian for a bit of inflammation in her right eye, believed to be due to minor trauma or allergies, but she has recovered well and has no ongoing issues. As is often the case with tortoiseshell cats, Maisie brings a "spicy" side to her charming personality. She peacefully coexists with other shy and reserved cats in a larger room, gradually coming out of her shell. Thanks to the gentle support of volunteers, Maisie is now seeking out affection—leaning into chin rubs and even curling up in a welcoming lap. She still appreciates patience and an understanding adopter who will give her the time she needs to fully blossom in a loving home. For those willing to earn her trust, Maisie reveals her truly sweet side, often showing off her irresistible, playful belly—an invitation for more affection and a sure sign you have touched her heart. Born under the sign of Leo, Maisie might just bring a little regal charm and warmth to your home. If you live within 150 miles of Cincinnati and are prepared for an in-person interview and a second shelter visit, Maisie could become your loving companion. All adoptions come with plenty of guidance and lifetime support; rest assured, she'll always have a safety net. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
