MARL ARRIVAL: Stray BACKGROUND: Don’t let the name fool you, General Tso isn’t spicy at all! This handsome Cane Corso is as sweet as they come. He can be a little thoughtful when meeting new people and likes to take his time to investigate, but once you’re part of his inner circle, he transforms into a total love bug. General Tso loves to play and enjoys spending time with his people, whether that’s engaging in fun activities or just being nearby. He walks well on leash, making him a great companion for daily strolls, and he does well with other dogs too. On top of that, he’s a very smart boy who is eager to learn and connect with his person. With a little patience at the start, General Tso will reward you with loyalty, affection, and plenty of playful moments. If you’re looking for a gentle giant with a big heart and a playful side, General Tso might just be your perfect match! COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that General Tso has the potential to get along with other dogs. General Tso would do best in a home without cats and with children over the age of 12. MEDICAL NEEDS: General Tso has tested positive for heartworm and is currently receiving treatment. The treatment includes a course of oral antibiotics and a series of injections, all provided and covered by MARL. We’re hoping General Tso can enter a foster-to-adopt home during this time, with all treatments scheduled through our vet at MARL. Once his treatment is complete, we can finalize his adoption.
