About Tanya
Meet Tanya, a Scottish Deerhound mix with a golden fawn coat and a magnetic, joyful energy. She’s around 2 years old and packs plenty of affection and wit into her medium-sized frame. Tanya thrives in the company of other playful dogs, especially those close to her size—her sister Blackie is a favorite playmate. At first, Tanya may seem a touch reserved, but patience reveals her loving, eager-to-bond side. Tanya has a playful, athletic streak, making her an ideal fit for someone who’d enjoy a lively walking partner or a yard game enthusiast. She’s house-trained and does fine in a crate for short periods, though she isn’t crated at her foster home. Leash skills are still a work in progress, so a harness is the best bet for walks. She needs a yard with a stockade fence, as she’s nimble enough to clear a chain link. Tanya is best in homes with adults or families with older children (over 10). She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention. Tanya is ready for a home that matches her spirit and offers the companionship and gentle guidance she craves.
