Edamame (Eddie) is a male, senior medium-sized terrier/mixed breed with a distinctive white/cream and brown/chocolate coat. He is currently in the care of Central Arkansas Rescue Effort (CARE) for Animals, Inc. Eddie is neutered and fully vaccinated, ensuring he’s ready for his forever family.

Meet Edamame (also known as Eddie), an 8-year-old terrier mix with a heart overflowing with happiness and a playful spirit that is sure to brighten any home. Eddie is the kind of dog whose tail never stops wagging—especially when there's a soft, squeaky toy to shake and parade around. Despite being picked up as a stray and never reclaimed, Eddie's love for life remains undiminished. He welcomes new dog friends with careful introductions and is expected to do well with cats, thanks to his gentle, easygoing nature. Once comfortable, his silly, affectionate side shines, bringing laughter and companionship wherever he goes. Eddie is seeking a home that can offer patience, understanding, and plenty of playtime. He's currently part of the Paws in Prison program, where he receives AKC Canine Good Citizen–level basic obedience training and spends his days closely bonded with his trainer. There will be an adjustment period as he transitions to a family routine, and adopters will receive his training journal detailing his progress and adventures. Eddie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, so he's ready to step right into the next chapter of his loving life.
