Meet Samwise—a 5-year-old gentleman with stunning green eyes and movie-star good looks, named after the loyal and big-hearted Samwise from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Just like his namesake, this boy is full of charm, devotion, ready for adventure, and a quiet kind of bravery. Once an indoor/outdoor cat, Samwise was sadly left behind when his family moved—but don’t feel too bad for him. He handled it like a true pro… by becoming locally famous. This social butterfly made his rounds through the neighborhood, charming everyone he met into feeding him, petting him, and reminding him just how handsome he is (they weren’t wrong). Samwise has lived with other cats and does well with feline friends, but his true passion is people. He absolutely loves attention and will happily “chat” with you about his day—he’s got stories, opinions, and plenty of personality to share. Think of him as a retired mayor who’s ready to settle down in a forever home where the snacks are plentiful, the company is warm, and his voice is appreciated. Now safely enjoying indoor life again, Samwise is ready for a family who will give him the stability, love, and attention he deserves. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
