Sabine is a sweet, snuggly 3-4yr old female Chiweenie, about 9 pounds, with a gorgeous chestnut red coat - even her tiny little eyelashes are red, so cute! Sabine was rescued from a dog-hoarding situation and she does very well with other dogs and cats, but can be timid toward humans and is very wary of men. She bonds quickly with her female foster humans, and is a very loyal little velcro dog. She enjoys toys and can entertain herself or play fetch when you're willing. She will definitely make you laugh with her playful antics! Sabine would prefer a fenced yard, as she enjoys sniffing around and conducting business. She is a great walking buddy; she loves to trot at a surprisingly fast clip and displays no leash aggression at all to other dogs. At home she prefers to be with you but it also comfortable sleeping in a dog bed nearby, and will gladly join you on the couch for cuddles! Sabine does not show separation anxiety and does fine left at home alone, and does well with housetraining. Sabine would be the perfect fit for a calm home with a single woman or female-only household, especially if you work remotely or are retired. She really is a gem!
