About Simba Von Schleiz
Simba Von Schleiz is a striking long-haired German Shepherd just over a year old, with an almost storybook look. He's large, gentle, and quickly wins people over with his affectionate and loving nature. Simba is a real cuddle bug who thrives on attention, and his enchanting presence draws in everyone he meets. Despite his easygoing temperament, Simba comes with a bit of baggage from his past—after going hungry, he guards food. Because of this, he needs an adult-only home with people willing to consistently work on his food guarding habits. Beyond that, Simba is a pleasure: he has medium energy, is intelligent, mostly housebroken, crate-trained, and knows several basic commands like "Sit," "Down," and "Leave it." He is wonderful on leash, happy to walk in a calm heel, and greets other dogs politely, showing happy body language and even giving them gentle kisses. Simba has excellent social manners off-leash with other dogs, though he doesn’t get along with cats. Rescued from Baldwin Park, this boy deserves a stable, loving place to land.
