About Franklin
Franklin has a history of anxiety and aggression toward other dogs. We have gotten in home training for him, and he does learn the commands quickly. However, we still cannot stop the aggression fully. Unfortunately, we have noticed him becoming more aggressive as he ages, starting with keeping toys from our other dog. Most recently he has refused to come inside when called and attempts to bite if picked up. Today he bit me. He did immediately show remorse after the event happened. We also recently had a baby; between the increasing aggression and the new baby we cannot trust Frank in our home. This is possibly the hardest thing we have had to do. He is normally very sweet, gentle and loving. He does not destroy household items and is crate trained. He needs a home that can commit the time to train him properly. In the past he has shown aggression toward smaller dogs. He is uncomfortable with men; will bark at them but does not attack. So far, he has shown interest in the baby but no aggression. Unsure of cats. He does not do well with other small dogs. He is obsessed with our neighbor's corgi, when we gave them an opportunity to meet at the fence he lunged at him. He does not like men entering our home that he is not familiar with, once he is familiar with them, he does get excited to see them and is happy to be near them. He does not seem to have the same issue with women. He is crate trained and house trained. If he has his corrective harness on, he is also good at walking on leash. We have had in home training for his anxiety and obsession with the neighbor's dog. Frank has shown progress but needs further training. Frank is a very loving dog who likes to play, cuddle and lick his people. He is a gentle soul who has occasional outbursts. He needs a family that can give him the training he needs and possibly be the only animal in the house. He has so much potential
