We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes! ——————— Meet MARSHALL! This big guy is one big teddy bear of a dog! Marshall loves people and he is super affectionate and loves to cuddle. He is calm and gentle. Marshall is 3 years old and he weighs 87 lbs. This poor guy has had a rough life. We were called after he wandered into someone’s yard, clearly injured and in need of help. What we found was heartbreaking—an embedded chain wrapped tightly around his neck and body. But despite everything he’s been through… Marshall is nothing but love. His tail never stops wagging, and the second he sees a person, he just melts into them for comfort and affection. Marshall is good with other dogs, just understandably a little cautious around his neck right now because it’s sore. Sadly, Marshall tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (we’d love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Marshall will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions! ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
