Percival is an awesome 10-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on March 6, 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 555 in Washington County Ohio. Percival was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. This sweet senior gentleman has a super-friendly personality. Percival has a rather rugged-looking physical appearance and it seems as though he has fallen on hard times recently .. But he has a kind heart and has surely maintained a positive outlook on life. Percival had a wound on his left front leg when he entered our shelter, and we feared that it might be broken, He was examined by one of our wonderful local veterinarians who made the diagnosis that the wound would slowly heal on its own and that his leg was not broken. Percival has a black-and-white shorthaired coat, a long tail, and an adorable uniquely-marked face with golden eyes, a 'crooked' black mustache, long white eyebrows/whiskers, and crinkled ears. These photos were taken on March 6th and March 8th, 2026 soon after Percival's arrival and, needless to say, our HSOV Kennel Techs were in love with Percival the moment they met him (and vice versa). Percival made himself at home in the Receiving/Intake Room and has enjoyed frequent out-of-cage time for relaxation and following the kennel techs around like an adoring puppy dog (smile). Percival is good with children, other cats, and dogs. Percival was given vaccinations and Drontal dewormer on March 12, 2026. He weighed 8.9 lbs that day. Percival was neutered on March 25, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. The veterinarian who performed Percival's surgery that day sent him back with a clean bill of health .. So he is ready to find a fabulous home where he will be loved, pampered, and spoiled to his heart's content. Percival is currently in our Jungle Room where he is enjoying a double-wide cage. He is ready to meet potential adopters (i.e., his new family).
