About Cowbell

What is the answer - More Cowbell of course! Cowbell is all puppy but in a grown up body. We aren’t sure what happened to his eye but one side looks like it had some trauma. The ball is set back and he can’t keep it open. We doubt his vision is great on that side. And he does run into things but that could be his puppy un coordination. Either way Cowbell is ready to give someone lucky all of his goodness. Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm. All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
