Meet Pancho!!! Pancho is a 1-year-old, 60-pound bundle of energy and enthusiasm who's always ready for action. Described by his former home as athletic and agile, Pancho would likely thrive in an active household and could be a great candidate for fun outlets like agility or other dog sports. He enjoys toys, loves a good game of tug, knows sit, and is highly food motivated-great qualities for continuing his training and building a strong bond with his future adopter. Because Pancho can be exuberant and still learning how to manage his excitement, he may be uncomfortable around children. For that reason, we require all household members to meet him prior to adoption to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident. Pancho would benefit from adopters who understand young, energetic dogs and are excited to help him develop better impulse control through positive reinforcement training. Pancho may be able to live with another dog if introductions and interactions are well managed by experienced adopters, though he may be happiest as the only dog in the home with opportunities to have dog friends outside the household. Plenty of daily mental and physical enrichment will be key to helping Pancho settle and succeed. With the right structure and outlets, Pancho has the potential to be an incredible companion for someone looking for an active, engaging canine partner. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
