Meet Nemo, a 7-month-old, 25-pound Miniature Australian Shepherd with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love. Nemo may be small, but his story is one of resilience. As a young puppy, he experienced an accident that left him with just two toes on one of his feet. It’s how he got his name, and while it makes him a little unique, it certainly does not slow him down. If anything, it just adds to what makes him so special. Nemo came from a very rural background, so the world is still a big, new place to him. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his personality truly starts to shine. He loves attention, cuddles, and being close to his people. Watching him build confidence and come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding. He does great with other dogs and really enjoys having canine companions around. He is also good with cats, making him a great fit for a variety of homes. Nemo may be a little unsure when first going into a kennel, but he settles quickly and relaxes once he understands he is safe. With patience and consistency, he continues to grow more confident every day. At 25 pounds, Nemo is the perfect size for an on-the-go lifestyle. Whether it is running errands, going on adventures, or just relaxing at home, he is happiest being close to his person.
