Meet Sprout and Kiwi – The Tiny but Mighty Brother and Sister Survivors with a Hearts Full of Love Sprout and Kiwi are 7-month-old, 10-pound bonded Brussels Griffen brother and sister who have already lived through more than most dogs their age. They were born at a backyard breeder and confiscated by animal control along with the rest of their other siblings that were being sold for thousands of dollars. From there, they landed in a high-kill shelter. Because of their young age and small size and extremely bonded pair, they were immediately placed on the euthanasia list and scheduled to be put to sleep at 4:00 PM. But fate had other plans for this cute little duo. Our rescue team happened to be at the shelter that very afternoon. We watched as staff gently carried the brother and sister pair back for what was supposed to be their final “pup cup” treat. The moment we saw them— these tiny, fluffy, long-haired cuties with big, trusting eyes — we knew we couldn’t let it happen. We stepped in right then and pulled them from the shelter just minutes before their scheduled time. Today, Sprout and Kiwi are fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and bursting with love. They are playful, cuddly, and incredibly sweet — the kind of puppies who melts into your lap and gives you those big Brussels Griffen eyes that make your heart skip a beat. Despite everything they have been through, they trust people completely and are ready to shower their forever family with endless affection. The pair are very bonded and as such our rescue will not separate the siblings. They are looking for a loving home where they can finally feel safe, spoiled, and cherished. They are great with kids and adults alike and would love nothing more than to be someone’s little shadow — following you from room to room, snuggling on the couch, and living their very best puppy life.
