About Kairo
Kairo is a striking German Shepherd mix, about eight years old and 81 pounds, with a yellow, tan, and black coat. He’s spent some time at the rescue, and in that time has shown his big heart and charming personality. Kairo greets people warmly with real enthusiasm, but at his core he’s a gentle giant. He is strong and needs a capable handler who can manage him on leash. He thrives on activity, loving any chance to stretch his legs in open spaces, but doesn’t mind winding down quietly with a chew toy either. Kairo is intelligent, already house trained, and knows a variety of basic commands. With patience, he’s open to learning more. Because of his size and energy, he isn’t suited for homes with young children under ten. He does well with other dogs but isn’t good with cats. Born February 1, Kairo is an Aquarius—a true individualist, social with a mind of his own. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Kairo
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Kairo, as a German Shepherd mix, thrives best in homes with ample space to move and play—ideally a house with a secure yard, rather than a small apartment. He would appreciate an environment that offers both activity and downtime.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
German Shepherds like Kairo benefit from having a decent-sized, fenced outdoor space where they can run and exercise every day. Regular trips to a park or access to large yards suit them well.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Kairo isn’t a fit for households with children under ten, mainly due to his size and energy level. Older children or teens who understand dogs could be a good match for this breed.
